A kanban planner built from a spec with Gemma 4
A written specification handed to an open-weights model to see how far it could carry a real app: Next.js, Prisma, Vitest and Playwright.
I wrote the specification first: tasks with priority, due dates and labels, columns that can be created and renamed, drag and drop between them, search and filters. Then Gemma 4 built the app from it.
Stack
- Next.js and React with Tailwind CSS
- Prisma for the data layer
- Vitest for unit tests and Playwright for end-to-end tests
